Recreational Crew (AISD)

About
Recreational Crew is for students who are interested in rowing and paddling but are not interested in competing. This program is suitable for new rowers and experienced rowers in grades 6 to 12. In addition to rowing, students learn to kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddle while building boating technique and endurance on Lady Bird Lake. Recreational Crew members may be invited to participate in Austin regattas and inter-squad races. The Fall 2026 semester runs from August 18 to December 18. Practices take place Monday through Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This listing uses the AISD semester rate.
