About
What better way to spend the week leading into Juneteenth than keeping young minds active, curious, and inspired? For kids ages 8 to 12, Next Level Science: Viral Experiments at IDEA Lab Kids runs June 15–19 and delivers five full days of hands-on scientific exploration. Rather than following a simple recipe, campers take popular "viral" science challenges and put them to the real test — redesigning and improving classic experiments through genuine scientific thinking. Students learn how variables, controls, and design choices affect outcomes, then plan, test, and iterate to make each experiment more effective, more impressive, and more informative, building the mindset of a true scientist and engineer in the process. This is the kind of camp that turns "cool trick" into real understanding. Camp runs 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily; Before Care (7:30–9:00 AM) and After Care (3:00–6:00 PM) are both available for an additional cost. Since lunch isn't provided, pack your camper a lunch and a snack to keep their brain fueled through a full day of experimenting. Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are all they need. With 10 spots available, grab one before this week fills up!
