IDEA Lab Kids is an innovative STEAM enrichment program that has been serving Austin families for over 8 years, operating as a preferred STEM vendor for both AISD and the City of Austin Recreation Program, with a campus in Central Austin. Licensed as a daycare with all staff fingerprinted, background-checked, and trained, IDEA Lab Kids offers summer camps, after-school programs, holiday and break camps, homeschool programs, and birthday parties for kids ages 5–13. During camp, kids rotate through hands-on STEAM sessions covering themes like Robotics, 3D Printing & Design, Coding, Science Lab experiments, Culinary Arts, Movie Production, Graphic Design, Entrepreneurship, and more — with a snack built into the daily schedule and catered lunch options available at most locations. Before-care and after-care are available for summer camps. Kids should come in comfortable clothes and bring a water bottle, and full-day campers should plan for lunch either through the catered option or a packed meal. Birthday parties are also a highlight — with 20+ STEAM-themed options for ages 4–14, take-home project party favors, and a mobile party option where IDEA Lab comes to your venue.
