About
Serious ballers ages 9–14 have somewhere to be this week — and it's on the court. Hoops School's June 8–12 Afternoon Camp brings intermediate-to-advanced players together for five days of high-level basketball training, running 1:00–3:30 PM daily at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. Led by Coach Heidi — a former professional player with 30+ years of coaching experience — and a staff maintaining a maximum 8:1 player-to-coach ratio, campers sharpen the full toolkit: ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, offensive cuts, defensive positioning, and team concepts like picks and rolls. Players are grouped by age and skill level so every session is appropriately challenging, and guaranteed live game play happens every single day so kids can apply what they've learned in real situations. The week wraps on Friday with a Game Day where parents are invited to watch two live full-court 5-on-5 games. Basketball shoes and athletic gear are all players need to bring. Send your player with a water bottle and snacks to keep their energy up. Extended care with late pickup until 4:00 PM is available for an additional fee. Spots fill fast — secure your player's place in this session before the week is gone.
