About

Two camps, one full day, and the perfect combination for kids who are just finding their footing on two wheels. Austin Youth Fitness's Full Day Camp pairs a morning of active fitness play with an afternoon of beginner biking instruction, giving kids ages 4–11 a well-rounded day that builds both physical fitness and brand-new skills. Mornings kick off with warm-ups, form-focused relays, water play, and fitness games out of Pease Park, with a snack break built into the day. Afternoons shift to the bike path, where first-time riders learn the basics of cycling alongside road safety, trail etiquette, and biking laws in a supportive, coach-led setting — with stops at the Pease Park splash pad, Shoal Creek, and West Austin Neighborhood Pool along the way. Dress kids in athletic clothes and closed-toed shoes, and pack a swimsuit for water play and pool time. Campers need their own bike and helmet — and if your child doesn't have a bike yet, woom bike rentals are available through AYF. Snacks are not provided; pack one from home, and send a packed lunch along as lunch is not provided either. A camp t-shirt is provided and should be worn each day. Early drop-off before the standard start time is available for an additional fee. For kids ready to trade training wheels for the real thing while still having a blast all morning long, this is the full day that checks every box.
