About

Austin Youth Fitness (AYF) has been making fitness fun for kids since 2009, offering after-school running, biking, yoga, and sports clubs at schools and parks across the greater Austin area, plus summer camps, day camps, personal training, and birthday parties. Each week introduces a new "Fitness FUNdamental" to help kids build active-lifestyle habits while emphasizing holistic health — physical, mental, emotional, and social. Summer camps are held at Pease Park and include Fit n' Fun Camp (ages 4–11), where kids develop running skills through warm-ups, water play, relays, and a weekly Shoal Creek endurance run; Cycle the City Camp (ages 5–11), where skilled bikers go on daily 4–9 mile rides visiting Austin pools, splash pads, and parks; and Beginner Biking Camp (ages 4–8), a learn-to-ride program covering road safety, trail etiquette, and biking laws. Early drop-off is available for summer camps for an additional fee. Kids should wear comfortable athletic clothes and bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a healthy snack — full-day campers also need a packed lunch. For biking camps, kids must bring their own bike and helmet (rentals available upon request). With a 5:1 kid-to-coach ratio, AISD extreme weather guidelines in place, and programs available across Austin, AYF is a safe and energetic outdoor adventure for every kind of kid.
