About

It's Godzilla! It's King Kong! It's your kid's imagination on a giant screen! Creature Feature at Creative Action is a two-week Film Academy camp for young artists ages 8 to 11, running July 20–31 at Marshall Middle School from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily. Campers work alongside Professional Teaching Artists to dive deep into the world of monster movie-making — learning film production techniques, designing and building costumes, and creating immersive 3D sets to bring their favorite creature features to life. From concept to camera to screen, every step of the process is hands-on, collaborative, and wildly creative. The two weeks build toward a public film screening where friends and family get to watch the monster masterpieces in action — a genuine, you-made-that moment your child will never forget. Summer fun activities are woven into the week, including a Mobile Game Bus, Dance Party, and Ice Pops on Wednesdays. Since it's a full day, pack a lunch, snack, and water bottle to keep your filmmaker fueled through every scene. Comfortable clothes are all they need. Financial aid is available — browse the available sessions and get your young director signed up today!
