About
What if summer camp tasted like rock candy and smelled like gummy molds? Creative Action's Confectionary Kitchen Camp 2 is a two-week arts academy for young creators ages 8–11, running July 6–17 from 8:30 AM–5:30 PM at Marshall Middle School in Austin. Campers don their kitchen aprons and science goggles to design original mock confections — blending hands-on candy-making artistry with the science of sweets in a fully immersive, project-based experience led by Creative Action's professional teaching artists. Beyond the candy lab, the two-week academy format means deeper creative exploration, stronger friendships, and an impressive end-of-camp showcase for friends and family to enjoy. Dress your young confectioner in comfortable clothes they can get messy in — layering is recommended since the day includes both indoor and outdoor activities — and closed-toe shoes or tennis shoes are strongly encouraged. **Lunch and a morning snack are not provided — pack both from home each day.** Toss in a swimsuit and towel for water slide day, too. If your child loves to create, experiment, and eat their art, this is two weeks they'll be talking about all year.
