About

Sugar, science, and serious creativity collide at Creative Action's Confectionery Kitchen Camp, designed for young makers ages 8–11 who are ready to think like candy entrepreneurs. Guided by Professional Teaching Artists, campers explore the science behind confectionery craft — from rock candy chemistry to gummy mold experiments — then channel that knowledge into designing their very own original mock candy, complete with a full brand identity, custom packaging, and flavor profiles inspired by sweets from around the world. The week builds toward a Science Expo showcase where campers unveil their full confectionery concept for friends and family. Kids should come dressed in comfortable, close-toed shoes and clothes they don't mind getting a little messy — science and art have a way of finding each other. Pack a sack lunch and a morning snack daily as no refrigeration or microwave is available on-site; Creative Action provides an afternoon snack. This camp is where the intersection of chemistry, design thinking, and creative storytelling turns kids into inventors — browse available sessions and save your sweet maker's spot today!
