Competitive Crew is for high school students who want to train to race competitively in regattas. Athletes build fitness and develop strong rowing technique while practicing in singles, doubles, quads, fours, and eights on Lady Bird Lake. The goal is to develop team boats capable of competing in local and national regattas, with many athletes continuing to row in college. Practices are Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with additional Saturday practices from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Please have your child bring a refillable water bottle, snacks and lunch, sunscreen, a towel, a hat, sunglasses, a bag or backpack to keep belongings, closed-toed shoes (crocs or water shoes), and medicine/allergy treatments if applicable.
