Character Creation + Coding Camp w/Crafternoon

Bring creativity and coding together in this Dungeons & Dragons-themed camp created in collaboration with Crafternoon ATX. Campers begin by designing an original character through digital art, storytelling, and creative expression.

They learn to draw characters from multiple angles and create simple GIF animations. In the afternoon, students bring their characters into Scratch to build interactive projects, animations, and games while learning programming concepts including events, loops, variables, random numbers, and the coordinate grid. By the end of camp, students will have a developed character, original artwork, animated GIFs, and a Scratch project.

SUPPLIES TO BRING: Water bottle, lunch or cash for Wendy's, snack, sketchbook, and optionally an iPad, art tablet, or personal art supplies. All students will have access to computers and mice during camp.
