About
My Coding Place is a female-owned, family-run STEM studio in West Austin offering coding, game development, digital art, web development, math, chess, robotics, and more for kids ages 5 and up through high school. Founded by a certified Computer Science and Math teacher and a software engineer, the studio stands out for its genuinely small classes of no more than four students, all led by a live instructor. Programs run in two formats: ongoing studio classes that kids can join at any time on topics like Python, Scratch, Java, game design with Unity or Godot, digital art, and web development; and themed camps available during school breaks covering everything from Roblox and Minecraft modding to AI and machine learning, robotics, app building, keyboarding, chess, and entrepreneurship. An after-school program is also available at select partner school locations. All classes are available in-person or virtually, and no prior coding experience is required — beginners and advanced students alike are placed at the right level. All computer equipment is provided, so kids just need to show up ready to learn. For camps, kids should pack a water bottle, snacks if needed, and a packed lunch. Comfortable, casual clothes are all that's needed. In a world where tech skills open doors, My Coding Place gives kids the kind of small-class, instructor-led foundation that actually sticks — and makes them excited to come back.
