About
Young paleontologists, the case files are open — Creative Action's Central Dino Detectives camp at Blanton Elementary in Austin sends kids ages 5–7 on a week-long prehistoric adventure, running July 20–24 from 8:30 AM–5:30 PM. Led by Creative Action's professional teaching artists, campers dig into the world of paleontology through hands-on fossil exploration, dino-themed art projects, and creative storytelling as they design, build, and act out their very own dino detective stories. Beyond the classroom, the week is packed with dance parties, water play, and the kind of joyful, social moments that make summer camp unforgettable. Creative Action's award-winning approach weaves arts exploration with social-emotional growth, giving every young artist the space to build confidence and creativity at their own pace. Dress your little detective in comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes ready for both active indoor and outdoor fun. **Lunch and snacks are not provided — pack a sack lunch and snacks from home each day.** By Friday, your child won't just know their dinosaurs — they'll have solved the case.
