About

No training wheels, no problem. Austin Youth Fitness's Beginner Biking Camp is built specifically for kids ages 4–11 who are just learning to ride, offering a supportive, coach-led environment where two-wheeled confidence is the whole point. Running afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 PM out of Pease Park, campers spend the week mastering the basics of riding while also learning road safety, trail etiquette, and biking laws — the kind of foundation that makes every future ride safer and more fun. Along the way, kids enjoy splash pad time at Pease Park, trips to Shoal Creek, and walks or bike rides with coaches to West Austin Neighborhood Pool. Campers need their own bike and helmet — and if your child doesn't have a bike yet, woom bike rentals are available through AYF. Pack a snack and water bottle to keep energy up through the afternoon, as snacks are not provided. Early drop-off before the standard start time is available for an additional fee. By Friday, most kids leave doing something they couldn't do on Monday — and that's a pretty great way to spend a summer week.
