About
What if your kid could stop just playing Minecraft — and actually learn to build it? For young game designers ages 7–9, Adventures in Minecraft Game Design at Club SciKidz is a week-long deep dive into Minecraft Education Edition where campers become the engineers and architects of their own digital worlds. Working in Adventure Mode, kids learn fundamental game design principles, master essential commands, use Redstone to build interactive elements like drawbridges and TNT cannons, craft storylines, and design puzzles — all while exploring how real-world environments inspire the biomes inside the game. Campers collaborate to build settlements in one of Minecraft's many biomes, then defend them from invasions as the week's ultimate challenge. The week wraps up with Family Day on Friday, when kids get to show off their worlds. Each camper receives a camp t-shirt to wear each day. Comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes are always a good call. Club SciKidz is a nut-free zone — kids should bring a nut-free lunch, two snacks, and drinks each day; no food is provided. Extended care is available for an additional fee, with early drop-off starting at 8:00 AM and post-camp running until 5:30 PM. Whether your kid is a seasoned crafter or just getting started, this camp turns screen time into real skills — grab one of the available spots before they're gone.
