About

Where else can your child touch real bronze sculptures, explore a living garden, and come home with art they made from natural and recycled materials — all in the same day? UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum offers one-of-a-kind Summer Art Camps for children ages 5–10, set against the backdrop of a stunning four-acre sculpture garden near Barton Springs in the heart of Austin. Led by Texas-certified educators and experienced teaching artists, camps are split by age group — younger campers (ages 5–7) dive into themes like global art traditions, garden-inspired artmaking, and creative reuse of recyclable materials, while older campers (ages 8–10) tackle STEAM-inspired discovery, sculpture and nature, and the mystical shapes of the forest. Every week blends outdoor exploration with hands-on projects, encouraging kids to observe the world around them, experiment with materials, and develop their own creative voice — building the visual arts, scientific reasoning, and critical thinking skills that carry directly into the classroom. All craft materials are provided, so just pack a backpack with a peanut-free lunch, snacks, and a water bottle, and dress your child in comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes for outdoor exploration. If you're looking for a summer camp experience that's truly unlike anything else in Austin, the UMLAUF is it.
