What happens when two former elementary school teachers with 25 years of combined experience decide to build the creative space they always wished existed? You get The Nest — a warm, community-driven art and enrichment studio in Austin where kids of all ages are encouraged to get messy, make mistakes, and fall in love with the process of creating. Founded by Mrs. Carley and Mrs. Natalie, The Nest offers weekly semester classes, school break camps and events, birthday parties, and homeschool supplemental classes — all inside a charming two-story studio space complete with two classroom studios, a common area, and a small art supply shop. Toddler and pre-K classes are sensory-rich and play-based, building social skills and foundational learning through hands-on exploration, while elementary and up classes weave together art, age-appropriate children's books, and social-emotional learning so kids can connect what they're making to the bigger world around them. Camps and events run throughout the year during school holidays and breaks, and Tween & Teen Nights and Adult Craft Nights make The Nest a creative home for the whole family. Aprons are provided, but dress your child in clothes and shoes you're okay getting messy — paint, glue, chalk, pastel, fiber, and more are all fair game. Please pack a nut-free snack and lunch for camp days — The Nest is a strict nut-free space, which means no peanuts, tree nuts, nut butters, or nut milks of any kind.
