About

Sticky Fingers Cooking is one of Texas's most joyfully educational and deliciously hands-on enrichment programs — a children's cooking school founded in 2011 in Colorado that has grown into a nationwide education brand operating after-school programs, spring and summer camps, and special events at schools, libraries, churches, and youth organizations across Austin and greater Texas, helping children ages 4 and up discover that cooking from scratch is one of the most exciting, empowering, and genuinely educational things a young person can do. Sticky Fingers Cooking classes happen right at your child's school as an after-school enrichment program — no extra drop-off required — taught by a fully trained, FBI fingerprint background-checked, and ServSafe food handling certified Instructor Chef who arrives with every tool, ingredient, and piece of equipment needed for the week's recipe. Students cook and eat a complete, internationally-inspired dish from scratch each session, with all-new recipes every week across the entire 6–14 week program — no repeats, no reruns. Recipes are curriculum-rich: each dish is a vehicle for teaching knife safety, kitchen hygiene, nutrition science, food history and culture, geography, and math. The program is 100% nut-free and can accommodate any and all food allergies. Parents love that their children come home talking about Peruvian ceviche, Vietnamese bánh xèo, and Irish shepherd's pie — and asking to make it again at home. No snacks are needed; children eat what they cook. Wear an apron or clothes that can get messy; hair should be pulled back.
