Shine on Performing Arts

Shine On Performing Arts is a Cedar Park nonprofit serving kids and teens ages 3 through 19 across a full range of performing arts programs, including year-round academy training, weekly classes, seasonal productions, and summer camps. Little ones as young as 3 get their start in introductory musical theater classes that blend acting, singing, and dancing in a playful, low-pressure environment, while older beginners can jump into production programs where every child is guaranteed a role with no audition required. More committed young performers can enroll in structured training academies that build skills in acting, voice, dance, film acting, improvisation, and stagecraft — with the most advanced students working toward pre-professional production experience and college audition readiness. Summer camps let kids dive into a full Broadway-style musical in just one week, while a special teen camp takes things further, putting participants in charge of every aspect of producing a show from the ground up. Across all production programs, kids rehearse and perform in ticketed shows with professional sets, costumes, lighting, and sound. Comfortable, movement-friendly clothing is recommended for classes and rehearsals; students auditioning for productions should wear a neat, put-together outfit and keep hair pulled back from the face. Snacks are not provided — SOPA operates an on-site Snack Shack where families can pre-load a punch card for use throughout the session; all items are nut-free, cinnamon-free, and singing-approved. Whether your child is stepping onto a stage for the very first time or working toward a future in the performing arts, Shine On Performing Arts offers a genuinely inclusive, welcoming space — SPED-friendly and open to all abilities — where every kid gets to do exactly what the name promises.
