About
Dance classes that go beyond steps and technique — at Redeeming Dance in Austin, the goal is to shape the whole child. Founded by Artistic Director Elzanne Fields, a former principal dancer from South Africa with over 20 years of teaching experience and training from institutions including ABT, The Royal Ballet, and Ballet BC, Redeeming Dance brings world-class instruction into a faith-inspired, nurturing studio environment. Young dancers ages 3 and up move through age-appropriate programs — from pre-dance fundamentals for preschoolers to advancing levels for older youth — exploring ballet technique, modern and jazz movement, and hip hop choreography in classes that build coordination, musicality, and stage presence. Camps go deeper, giving kids dedicated time to work on turns, jumps, formations, and performance skills in an immersive setting where they can truly grow. All of it is designed to build not just technical skill but confidence, resilience, and a deep joy in movement. Youth dancers should wear a black leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet shoes — or leggings, a form-fitting top, and socks — with hair pinned back, and bring a water bottle. Where else will your child leave class more skilled, more joyful, and more sure of themselves all at once?
