ONE Academy of Dance in Austin offers classical ballet training for dancers starting at age 2, with a thoughtfully structured pathway that meets students where they are and grows with them every step of the way. The youngest dancers begin in a Mommy & Me class where parents join their 2–3 year olds on the floor for playful movement, rhythm, and creative expression, while Creative Movement (ages 3–5) introduces the joy and structure of dance class — taking turns, following music, building coordination, and stretching their imaginations. Intro to Dance (ages 5–7) combines ballet foundations with jazz fundamentals, and Beginning Dance (ages 7–9) brings more formalized technique across ballet, jazz, and contemporary for dancers just starting out or those who love dance alongside other activities. From there, Ballet 1 and the Preparatory Programs carry dedicated students deeper into the Cecchetti classical ballet method, building proper alignment, strength, musicality, and the kind of self-discipline and perseverance that carry far beyond the studio. Advanced and Pre-Professional programs are available for serious dancers ages 10 and up. All dancers are required to wear the ONE Academy class uniform: girls wear an Elevé leotard with the ONE logo, pink tights, pink canvas ballet shoes, and black canvas jazz shoes; boys wear an Elevé white shirt with the ONE logo, black tights, and black and canvas ballet and jazz shoes. Hair must be secured away from the face, and a bun is required for Beginning Dance and Ballet programs. Shoes are available through Movin' Easy in Austin, which keeps the ONE Academy dress code on file. Snacks and meals are not provided. Housed in a 5,400 sq ft facility with four studios, professional sprung hardwood floors, and a full costume department, ONE Academy gives every dancer — from the tiniest creative mover to the most ambitious young artist — the training and the stage to truly shine.
