About

What if your child could eat their science experiment? That's exactly the kind of magic Kids Chem Cook delivers for curious kids ages 5–11 in Austin. Founded by former teacher Michelle Quintanilla, Kids Chem Cook blends hands-on chemistry with kid-friendly cooking to create an experience that is as educational as it is delicious — kids explore edible experiments, discover the difference between physical and chemical changes, practice measurement, and develop real kitchen skills, all while having a blast. Full-day campers even learn to make their own lunch, and every child goes home with copies of the recipes they made that day. Available in flexible formats including full-week, half-week, single full-day, and single half-day sessions, there's an option for every family's schedule. The best part for parents? All ingredients and materials are fully provided — just send your child with a labeled water bottle and they're ready to cook up some science. Please note that due to the nature of the program, cross-contamination of allergens cannot be fully prevented, so parents of children with food allergies are encouraged to reach out to the director before enrolling. If your child has ever asked "but why does this bubble?" while baking — Kids Chem Cook is exactly where they belong.
