JEB Basketball School

Founded in 1995 by Coach James Brown — a veteran skills trainer with nearly three decades of experience developing players from youth level all the way to the pros — JEB Basketball School (JEBBS) in McKinney offers a serious, personalized training program for young athletes who are ready to take their game to the next level. Kids as young as elementary school age can start in the NEXTGEN Beginners program, learning foundational skills and basketball IQ in a structured group setting, before progressing into Intermediate and Advanced tracks as their game develops. Every athlete receives a customized performance plan tailored to their individual needs, with small group sessions — typically just four athletes per group — ensuring each player gets focused, high-quality coaching. Weekly 1-on-1 training is also available for athletes who want an even more personalized experience. Beyond the Xs and Os, JEBBS places a strong emphasis on character, discipline, leadership, and goal-setting — skills that pay off far beyond the court. Kids should come dressed in athletic gear and sneakers ready to move, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated through training. Snacks are not provided, so pack one if your child needs fuel after a session. Whether your child is just falling in love with the game or working toward a varsity roster spot, JEBBS gives them the foundation, the coaching, and the mindset to make it happen.
