About
Inspired Minds Art Center is Buda's award-winning arts hub — voted Best Texas Downtown Business, Best Gallery, Best Family Fun, and Friendliest Staff — a proudly local, woman-owned creative space at 121 Main Street in historic downtown Buda that has become the cultural heart of Hays County, drawing families from Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, New Braunfels, and South Austin for arts education, live theatre, gallery exhibitions, and community events. Year-round weekly classes for all ages serve adults, teens, and children ages 5 and up in pottery and the wheel, painting, stained glass, fiber arts, theatre, music and movement, and more — taught by working local artists who emphasize process over product, skill-building over perfection, and genuine creative community over anything else. Summer and school holiday camps (ages 5–18) offer immersive week-based experiences in Art + Science, Culinary Arts (where allergy-friendly snacks are provided in Chem Cook camps), Afternoon Creativity Labs, Theatre Production, and Dance, with both half-day and full-day options and lunch supervision add-ons available. For most art camps, pack a water bottle and a light snack; full-day campers may need to bring lunch. Girl Scouts workshops and free library art classes are also part of the IMAC community outreach. Wear clothes that can get paint or clay on them. All art supplies are provided unless otherwise noted. Extended care/aftercare is available at an additional charge.
