If you've ever wondered what it looks like when a kid falls in love with technology, step inside iCode Southlake — a hands-on STEM campus where children ages 5 and up discover that coding, robotics, game design, and AI aren't just school subjects, they're superpowers waiting to be unlocked. The flagship Belt Program takes kids through a progression of skill-building levels — from STEAM Fundamentals for the youngest learners to Java Application Development for teens — with each belt covering a focused track like robotics with VEX IQ and 3D printing, Minecraft and Roblox game programming, web development with HTML and CSS, Python and drone coding, Unreal Engine 5 game design, cybersecurity, and more, all infused with real AI instruction so students learn not just how to build, but how to build alongside artificial intelligence. Each weekly class follows a teach-then-do structure: an instructor-led lesson followed by a hands-on activity using the latest gear right in the classroom — gaming computers, 3D printers, robotics kits, and drones are all on site and included. Kids come dressed in whatever's comfortable; there's no special gear or equipment to bring. Snacks and meals are not provided, so pack something for after class. With progress reports keeping parents in the loop and belt graduation ceremonies celebrating every milestone, iCode turns screen time into something parents feel great about — and kids genuinely can't wait to get back to.
