Art + Academy has been Austin's most trusted fine arts education studio since 2009, offering serious, skill-building drawing and painting classes for children as young as 4 through adults across three Austin-area campuses: Northwest Austin, Southwest Austin, and Cedar Park. Every instructor holds a formal fine arts degree and brings both professional artistic practice and a genuine passion for teaching — giving students the rarest combination of real expertise and encouraging, individualized attention. Classes are kept intentionally small so every student receives meaningful guidance, and the progressive curriculum builds real technique in drawing, painting, shading, color theory, and mixed media across age groups and skill levels rather than cycling through one-off crafts. Summer camps and break camps offer full creative days for kids across a range of themes — past camps have covered sculpting, sketching, watercolor, and more — all art supplies included in tuition. For camp days, send your camper with a water bottle and a light snack for the mid-session break — everything else is covered. Year-round enrollment means there's never a wrong time to start, and students consistently describe Art + Academy as the place that showed them they really can draw.
