Summer Explorers: Passport to the World of Figure Skating
AGES 6-14
About
Pack your passport — Skate VIDA's Summer Explorers camp takes skaters ages 6–14 on a journey through the global world of figure skating, one week at a time, at The Pond Hockey Club in Austin. Available in morning (9 AM–12 PM) and afternoon sessions throughout the summer, each week introduces new skills, themes, and inspiration from skating cultures around the world, complete with passport stamps to track progress along the way. Led by experienced professional coaches, campers are grouped by level so every skater — from first-timers to seasoned gliders — gets individualized attention and real skill-building structured into every session, including off-ice warm-ups, on-ice skills classes, games, and a cool-down. Ice fees, lesson fees, and skate rentals are all included in the camp cost. Dress your skater in warm, layered clothing with gloves and a hat — the rink is cold! — plus socks that cover the ankle; a helmet is strongly recommended especially for beginners. **Snacks are not provided — pack a water bottle and a quick, healthy snack for the mid-camp break.** Bring your own skates and blade guards if you have them, and if this isn't your skater's first summer with Skate VIDA, don't forget their passport book. Whether your child is stepping on the ice for the first time or building on skills from last summer, this is where the adventure happens.
