About
Jr. Veterinary Medicine is a science camp for kids ages 6-8 at One Community Church - Plano, hosted by Club SciKidz Dallas. Campers learn what a veterinarian does and explore the basic anatomy and care of cats and dogs, including more advanced procedures like stitches and broken bones. They also study the circulatory, respiratory, and skeletal body systems by creating hands-on models, and may even be visited by a real dog to practice their new skills. All 20 hands-on activities are built around real veterinary knowledge, and every camper takes home a Future Veterinarian Kit and first aid supply kit at the end of the week. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with optional pre-camp care starting at 8:00 am and post-camp extended care available until 5:30 pm, both for an additional cost.
