Summer Camp: Jr. Meteorologist (One Community Church - Plano)

Jr. Meteorologist is a weather science camp for kids ages 6-8 at One Community Church - Plano, hosted by Club SciKidz Dallas. Campers become meteorologists for the week, discovering why our weather changes through hands-on experiments and build projects. Activities include measuring and recording rainfall, creating a water cycle wheel, building a weather station, learning about the Greenhouse Effect, creating a terrarium, designing tornadoes, and even creating snow in the middle of summer. Campers also make delicious ice cream to demonstrate the three states of matter, and take home sun prints, UV beads, a wind vane, an anemometer, and a rain stick. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with optional pre-camp care starting at 8:00 am and post-camp extended care available until 5:30 pm, both for an additional cost.
