About
Drone Piloting and Robotics is a brand-new 2026 camp for kids ages 9-13 at One Community Church - Plano, hosted by Club SciKidz Dallas. Campers explore aerial robotics technology through engaging scenarios and challenges using the new Tello Boost drone. Missions include building and navigating obstacle courses, lessons in aerodynamics, learning to fly and land the drone, maneuvering close to a mock hazardous waste container, and searching for a lost hiker in a search-and-rescue simulation. Campers also apply technology and planning to build a quad rotor for a first responder mission and take home their own hand-sized quad copter at the end of the week. No prior experience needed. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, with optional pre-camp care starting at 8:00 am and post-camp extended care available until 5:30 pm, both for an additional cost.
