Ever wondered what happens when you give a child the keys to their own imaginary world? Designed for little creators ages 5 to 8, the Story Play Camp at The Hideout Theatre invites children to bring their wildest ideas to life through a mix of improv games, storytelling, and themed crafts. As they collaborate to build original stories from scratch, campers naturally develop essential social skills like teamwork, active listening, and the confidence to express their unique voices in a supportive environment. Throughout the week, they’ll learn the basics of stagecraft and performance, culminating in a special showcase for family and friends on Friday afternoon. To stay ready for a day of movement and creative play, please send your child in comfortable, flexible clothing and closed-toe shoes. Since all that character creation works up an appetite, please pack a nut-free lunch and a water bottle for them to enjoy during our scheduled breaks.
