Minecraft Modding Camp (Ages 7-12)
By My Coding Place (Far West Location)
AGES 7-12
About
Memorial Day week just got a major upgrade — while the holiday kicks off Monday, the real adventure begins when kids ages 7–12 dive into five days of hands-on Minecraft modding at My Coding Place. This camp goes far beyond playing the game — campers learn to actually modify it, using Minecraft Forge to build custom mods of different types and getting an authentic introduction to Java, the very programming language Minecraft was built with. No prior coding experience is needed, making this an ideal first step for young gamers who are curious about what's happening behind the blocks. With a maximum ratio of one instructor to every seven students, kids get genuine, personalized guidance as they build, test, and refine their creations throughout the week. Camp runs 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. Kids should bring their own lunch, a snack, and a water bottle each day. Note that this camp requires Minecraft Java Edition installed on a personal PC or Mac — setup instructions are sent before camp begins. Spots are limited for this session, so lock in your future coder's week before it fills up.
