About
Minecraft - Cyber Defenders is a five-day cybersecurity camp for students ages 7-14 at iCode North Dallas, TX. Using Minecraft: Education Edition as an engaging platform, campers progress from digital citizenship fundamentals all the way to becoming cyber experts - learning to spot phishing scams, create strong passwords, build networks, and understand data encryption. By the end of the week, students are introduced to real-world concepts like social engineering, malware, and ransomware, walking away with a well-rounded introduction to one of today's most in-demand tech fields. Every session also includes a daily Digital Citizenship lesson on online safety and responsibility, a one-hour Personal Project Lab where campers create something uniquely their own with AI-assisted guidance, and ongoing development of soft skills like teamwork, communication, and creative problem-solving. Camp runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at iCode North Dallas, 14902 Preston Rd, Suite 411, Dallas, TX. Enroll your young cyber defender today - this is the STEM skill that matters most in the digital world!

More about this business

iCode North Dallas offers coding, robotics, AI, and tech programs for kids ages 5 and up on Preston Road. Their flagship Belt Program is a structured after-school series where students progress through skill levels — covering everything from game development and web design to drone programming, cybersecurity, and app development — with AI woven into every level. Each class pairs an instructor-led lesson with a hands-on activity, and every completed belt ends with a final project and a graduation ceremony. STEM camps are also available during summers, spring breaks, and school holidays in half-day and full-day formats, each including a daily Personal Project Lab and Digital Citizenship activities. No prior experience needed — students are assessed and placed at the right starting point, and all hardware and software is provided on-site. Students should wear comfortable, school-appropriate clothing and non-marking rubber-soled shoes. Snacks and meals are not provided — kids are welcome to bring their own and eat in the lobby, as food isn't permitted in the lab areas. Whether your child is just discovering tech or ready to level up, iCode gives them the tools, the challenge, and the confidence to keep going.
