Empower your teen to transition from consumer to creator at the Furniture Fabrication Camp at Asmbly Makerspace! Designed for aspiring makers ages 13 to 17, this intensive week-long afternoon workshop (1 PM – 5 PM) is a hands-on deep dive into the world of industrial design and professional craftsmanship. Parents can expect their teens to master professional-grade tools while learning the vital principles of joinery, structural integrity, and finish work. Under the guidance of expert makers in a real-world shop environment, students will take a project from raw material to a finished piece of functional furniture, building critical problem-solving skills and creative confidence along the way. To keep their focus sharp in the studio, please pack a refillable water bottle and a nut-free snack, as food is not provided. Safety is our absolute priority: all participants must wear closed-toe shoes and shop-appropriate clothing (avoid loose jewelry, flowing sleeves, or untied long hair).
