Drum Intro is a beginning drumming camp for students ages 6 and up at Music Institute of North Texas in Frisco, TX. Campers immerse themselves in the rhythmic world of percussion, exploring diverse drumming techniques ranging from traditional beats to contemporary rhythms inspired by cultures from around the globe. Students learn fundamental drumming skills while discovering the rich tapestry of rhythms that span continents and centuries - building a strong rhythmic foundation and a lifelong love of percussion in the process. All instruments are provided. All sessions are taught by university-trained faculty on staff and conclude with a mini-performance at the end of the camp week.
