For the young artist who always needs just a little more time at the canvas, Art Amore Studios' Brushstrokes Camp is the week they've been waiting for. Running June 8–12 from 9 AM–3 PM at the North Austin studio, this process-oriented painting intensive for ages 6–18 takes campers on a daily medium-hopping adventure — from the bold energy of acrylics to the flowing magic of watercolors, with stops at texture work, color theory, palette knife techniques, sponge painting, and styles ranging from dreamy landscapes to abstract and pop art. All professional-grade supplies are included, no experience is needed, and the entire focus is on the joy of creating rather than the "right" result. Wear clothes you absolutely don't mind ruining — things get gloriously messy here. Daily snacks are provided by the studio; a packed lunch is required from home each day. Whether your child is a first-time painter or a seasoned studio regular, Brushstrokes gives them the time, tools, and creative freedom to go deep.
