Beginner Electrical Engineering: Motors, Sensor, And LEDs! - Austin
AGES 7-9
About
What if your child could spend a summer morning learning to build real circuits, program motors, and make LEDs light up on command? For budding engineers ages 7 to 9, Beginner Electrical Engineering: Motors, Sensors, and LEDs! at IDEA Lab Kids in Austin is a hands-on, half-day camp that turns curiosity about how things work into real-world building skills. Running Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, campers get their first introduction to electrical engineering concepts through age-appropriate, project-based challenges — wiring circuits, programming motors, and experimenting with sensors and LED technology in ways that are as exciting as they are educational. There's no prior experience needed; IDEA Lab's expert instructors guide every step, keeping young engineers engaged and building confidence as they see their creations come to life right before their eyes. Before Care (7:30–9:00 AM) and After Care (12:00–6:00 PM) are both available for an additional cost, making it easy to fit into a busy summer schedule. Pack a snack and a water bottle to keep energy up through a morning of building and discovery, and send your little engineer in comfortable clothes. Multiple sessions are available throughout the summer — browse the dates and secure your child's spot before they're gone!
