Blast off into a hands-on STEAM week at the Applied Technology Center at Anderson High School! Campers explore creative tech projects using tools like DSLR cameras, 3D printers, robotics kits, hydrology display boards, and software like Labview, Tinkercad, Photoshop, and iMovie. This session is for youth entering 6th through 9th grade. Campers do not need to be a registered scout, and no prior technology experience is required. Registration includes a camp t-shirt, patch, and two nutritious snacks daily. Drop-off is 8:45 AM - 9:00 AM (morning extended care required for earlier drop-off). Pick-up is 3:30 PM - 3:45 PM (afternoon extended care required for later pick-up). What to wear everyday: Camp t-shirt, closed-toe shoes, socks, and sunscreen (apply before camp; campers go outside during morning ceremony, lunch, and afternoon closing ceremony).\n\nWhat to bring everyday: Backpack or bag, labeled lunch in a marked sack or plastic bag (large Ziplocs work well; lunches are refrigerated; avoid bulky lunch boxes), water bottle (refill opportunities throughout the day), and any medication needed for the day (turn in to the camp medic, in original containers, with the Part B Medical Form section completed to approve administration). Optional: money for snacks or drinks from the on-site food truck. Important notes: Campers must have some knowledge of online safety. Each camper must complete and submit a camp medical form on first-day check-in. Closed-toe shoes are required daily. Participants taking the Welding Merit Badge must wear jeans and non-plastic-based shoes. Please label everything you want your child to come home with (lost and found is in the camp office).
