The Greater Austin YMCA has been providing Afterschool Care and Summer Day Camp for more than 50 years. Our experience gives us the foundation to deliver high quality out-of-school care for your child. Without a traditional facility, the Extend-A-Care Branch may be the Austin Y’s best kept secret. But the work is some of the most important that we do. Extend-A-Care Y prioritizes play-based learning, arts and exploration through developmentally appropriate curriculum and supported by teachers who create a warm and healthy classroom environment. Research shows that children who attend high-quality early learning programs are more prepared to enter school. Our programs exceed licensing standards and positively affect the development of the children we serve. Questions regarding other YMCA facilities (gyms, pools, fitness classes, swim lessons, youth sports, etc.) should be directed to your nearest YMCA location.
