The Greater Austin YMCA has been providing Afterschool Care and Summer Day Camp for more than 50 years. Our experience gives us the foundation to deliver high quality out-of-school care for your child. Without a traditional facility, the Extend-A-Care Branch may be the Austin Y’s best kept secret. But the work is some of the most important that we do. Extend-A-Care Y prioritizes play-based learning, arts and exploration through developmentally appropriate curriculum and supported by teachers who create a warm and healthy classroom environment. Research shows that children who attend high-quality early learning programs are more prepared to enter school. Our programs exceed licensing standards and positively affect the development of the children we serve.
